Peter is now being held by the Irish Criminals who found him in the iPod crate. The gang interrogate Peter about the crate of missing iPods. Ricky’s sister, then tends to Peter (who at this point can’t even remember his own name) and explains that the consequences will be dire because Ricky failed to deliver the crate of iPods.
Peter then uses telekinesis, a bolt of energy (probably the same power he used in episode 1) and super strength to defeat the thugs, doing this protecting Caitlin. Ricky returns and offers Peter a trade. If Peter helps them with a robbery, he’ll give him information about his past - a box that was found with him in the crate.
Bob, member of the Company (see last episode), sends Mohinder on a mission, a mission to save the Haitian. The Hatian has now contracted the virus and believes it is a punishment from God. Mohinder manages to persuade the Haitian to take the anti-virus, curing the Haitian. Mohinder then tells the Haitian he works for “a company”. The scene flashes to a phone conversation between Bob and Mohinder, Bob asking where the Haitian is, Mohinder telling Bob that he doesn’t know (it is suggested that the Hatian whiped Mohinder’s memory. For the truth see the issue 53, “The Crossroads”, of the online graphic novel). Mohinder later calls Noah (Bennet), Noah asking how the trip went. Mohinder replies by telling him “should have the answer to that very shortly.” Throughout the conversation, Noah is in the copy shop. While still on the phone, the Haitian enters and the two co-workers greet eachother, smiling.
Maya and Alejandro are assisted by a family friend, Nidia, in crossing the border. With the border guards starting to follow, Alejandro lets his sister go ahead with Nidia. But, Maya begins to panic after being seperated from her brother. Her eyes suddenly turn black, and a black liquid streams down her face. Nidia then becomes too choke and falls, her eyes now black and the liquid streams down her face, simular too Maya. Alejandro then catches up, and grabs Maya’s hands. His eyes turn white, and he some what adsorbs the liquid into his eyes, this reviving Nidia. Both are relieved that Nidia is alive, but she then flees, believing the siblings are cursed.
While investigating the death of Kaito Nakamura, Matt Parkman and Detective Fuller that Angela Petrelli was present on the roof of Deveaux Building, the night Kaito Nakamura was murdered. Ando then explains what the helix means (”Godsend”) to Matt, because the symbol is scrawled on the photo of Kaito Nakamura. Matt and the detective then interview Angela, but she realises that he is listening in on her thoughts, and mentally shouts at him to “GET OUT OF MY HEAD”. Matt then greets Nathan Petrelli, who has come to bail his mother out of custody.
While the two talk, Angela is attacked by something, and Matt has too break in, because the door is locked. Angela is alone in the room, and has blood running down her face from the attack. In her hand is the other half of the photo that was found with Kaito’s body. The other half also has the helix scrawled into it, the photo showing Angela.
Molly Walker is still drawing the disturbing images combining the helix and a pair of sinister eyes.
Still in Japan in 1671, Hiro Nakamura impersonates his hero, Takezo Kensei, to correct history. Using his power, he disarms eleven armed bandits, saving the swordsmith’s daughter. Hiro then persuades Takezo Kensei agrees to save the swordsmith (he is also persuaded by the prospect of having a relationship with the swordsmith’s daughter).
But, as the journey begins, Takezo is ambushed by the bandits Hiro disarmed earlier. Hiro is then amazed to see Takezo he’ll from the bow injuries. He appeares revived.
At the start of the episode, Sandra Bennet drops her ring into a pot of boiling water. Claire then reaches in and pulls it out. Claire is struggling not to get noticed in her new school. In biology class, Claire’s teacher gives a lecture about lizards ability to regenerate their lost limbs, Claire then asks would it be possible for humans to do this. West tells Claire to read a bokk by “some
Indian guy” (Activating Evolution by Chandra Suresh). Claire then argues with her father about how she should use her powers for good, for example giving blood. After her teacher tells her that your little toe is pretty useless, Claire decides to cut it off, to test the limits of her powers.
Her toe does grow back, but West seen her do this, because he was looking through the window. She tries to chase him, but finds a copy of Activating Evolution lying on her driveway. The episode ends with Mr. Muggles barking up at the sky.
