JoBlo had one helluva spy who snapped some photos from the set.

As for the photo above, that’s the film’s director and franchise creator, Chris Carter, on the right in blue. It would appear that Agents Mulder and Scully will be facing a man wearing a werewolf bust.

The X-Files 2 has nothing to do with A.) aliens and B.) the 1998 film and TV show’s mythology [aliens]. Not that it isn’t a great move for the franchise.

“We spent a lot of time on [the mythology] and wrapped up a lot of threads. We want a stand-alone movie, not a mythology conspiracy one.”

This X-Files movie sequel has been in the works for years now, and there have been many rumors about it. Movieweb had   asked David Duchovny to tell what he could about The X-Files 2.

Can you talk at all about The X-Files 2? Maybe where that’s at or what people might expect from that?
It’s at… the script is written and as far as I know we’re all trying to shoot in December at some point. We would all love it if we could keep it a secret and just give everybody a fresh experience of not knowing what the movie’s about. I know if I was a fan of the show I would kind of be excited to be surprised.
