Lego master Mark Kelso has just recently put the last brick on his model of the Invisible Hand, General Grevious’ ship from Star Wars Episode III. Yes, that photo of him and his model is to scale—it’s frickin’ massive. It took an equally massive 9 months to build too.

When you watch certain characters in certain movies, you think “Golly, I sure do wish I was more like that him. I wish I was that hip.” This is a list of ten movie characters that every guy wants to be like and admires in some way.

Indiana Jones (Raiders of the Lost Ark)
Why do all guys want to be like him? Well, because he’s friggin’ Indiana Jones. He’s a movie character that has single-handedly influenced thousands upon thousands of young adults to study archeology (ending in the realization that it’s not nearly as exciting as Indy makes it look). He’s the James Bond of the adventure world, an iconic, Nazi-hating, womanizing adventurer that always gets in over his head and makes up everything as he goes. Besides the beyond cool outfit that every guy wishes he could pull off (I know when I become a teacher, I’m going to sport a fedora every day), he wields a whip and uses it often. Is there anything cooler than that?

James Bond (Goldfinger and Casino Royale)
Admit it. After watching Casino Royale, you decided you were going to start working out, start drinking martinis (shaken, not stirred), and get a lease on that Aston Martin you had been eying up ASAP… but you got tired after seven push-ups, weren’t able to answer the bartender as to why martinis taste better shaken rather than stirred, and you realized you have trouble making the payments on your ‘96 Ford Ranger, so maybe the Aston Martin is out of the question.

I, in the past couple of years, have written more Top Ten articles then I can count for the prestigious Slashfilm. Soooooo, these flicks coming at you are the contenders for best ever. If something can move you to tears, I believe it has a specific merit to it dubbing it an all time great. Here I dig, into my past and see what I can come up with.

10. Breach - Ryan Philippe opens the elevator doors and “BAM”, Chris Cooper is standing there between two guards. The electricity that passes between them is unsettling, with a moment feeling like forever, until Cooper hauntingly utters the words. “Pray for me.” You can’t help but wonder why Chris doesn’t just Goldberg spear Philippe into the wall behind him for being the sole guy to take him down and ruin his life.

9. Lost Boys - After the final showdown with Kiefer Sutherland and the rest of his Motley Crue of teen vamps comes Grandpa, opening the fridge and closing his eyes before sighing and finally saying, “The one thing about Santa Carla I never could stomach….All the damn vampires.” And the light from said refrigerator, throwing its snuffed shadow upon Corey Haim and Jason Patric’s face, leave us feeling like we have just had the final joke slapped onto our faces ….People are strange. continue
